Software suite eases instrument connection and control

Agilent Technologies has released IO Libraries Suite V16.3 connectivity software for electronic test instruments, with added support for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012, as well as USB 3.0-based USBTMC and composite USBTMC devices.

The software collection of tools and libraries automatically detects instruments connected to your PC and configures the interfaces.

The suite’s PXI resource manager offers improved PXI/PXIe interoperability and support for the IVI VISA plug-in specification, which allows communication with third-party PCI/PXI devices through compliant plug-ins. IO Libraries Suite is compatible with a broad range of common instruments from a variety of vendors, including those based on AXIe, PXI, GPIB, USB, Ethernet/LAN, RS-232, and VXI interfaces. It also enables instrument communication for a variety of development environments, such as Agilent VEE, Mathworks Matlab, Microsoft Visual Studio, and National Instruments LabView.

The IO Libraries Suite is included with more than 350 Agilent electronic measurement products. Customers can download the software or order a free CD at www.agilent.com/find/iosuite.
