Hardware probe measures IP/Ethernet services
Test & Measurement World Staff - October 25, 2012
The BV-110 Verifier from EXFO validates transport service-level agreements at customer premises and cell sites, while measuring end-user quality of experience for data, voice, video, and mobile services.
A
component of the BrixWorx end-to-end service testing platform, the BV-110
enables service providers and mobile network operators to assure the quality of
their services, reduce mean-time-to-repair, and avoid unnecessary truck rolls.
Deployed at key locations in the network, the BV-110 provides the visibility and detail needed to troubleshoot performance problems and identify their root causes. The carrier-class hardware probe monitors transport performance and allows fixed and mobile network operators to simultaneously measure the true end-user QoE over both wireline and wireless segments. It offers reflector and loopback capabilities, IPv4 and IPv6 support, and hardware packet time-stamping.
All Brix Verifiers, including the BV-110, are centrally managed and provisioned using BrixWorx, and all communications between the verifier and BrixWorx are encrypted and secure.
