Behlman AC supply delivers 1500 VA

The BL3X500 from Behlman Electronics is a 1500-VA single-phase to three-phase AC power supply and frequency converter housed in a 4U (7-in. high) rack-mount chassis.
It rounds out Behlman’s BL HP series of 1000-VA to 20,000-VA supplies and BL Plus series of 25 kVA to 120 kVA supplies for industrial product testing, avionics test and power conversion, ATE, bulk power, and motor-generation replacement.

In addition to amplitude and frequency adjustment, the BL3X500 offers line-drop compensation, phase-angle adjustment, and output on/off as standard features. It also provides analog remote control and both RS-232 and IEEE 488 interfaces. The supply’s multi-pulse input transformer has low input harmonic distortion and high power factor as required by MIL-STD-1399 and European standards.

Built-in circuitry provides over-temperature protection, short-circuit protection, and voltage fold-back during overloads to maintain undistorted waveforms. Other features of the BL3X500 include three digital multimeters for true RMS voltage, true RMS current, and frequency measurement, along with a three-position switch for phase A, B, and C.
