dSpace software manages ECU tests
Staff - November 22, 2012
Synect Test Management software from dSpace manages, coordinates, and executes the test activities required during the ECU (electronic control unit) development process, with special focus on MIL, SIL, PIL, and HIL testing.
It can be used for automotive, aerospace, and industrial-automation applications, or any application where embedded systems are developed by model-based design. The software systematically plans and controls MIL (model-in-the-loop), SIL (software-in-the-loop), PIL (processor-in-the-loop), and HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) test execution. When defining tests, design teams can include existing requirements and reuse existing tests by importing them into Synect Test Management. Data can be sourced from several tools, including test implementations from AutomationDesk, dSpace’s environment for test automation. Analyses of tests, test coverage, and test progress can be generated from the results stored centrally in Synect Test Management.
In addition to the Test Management module, the Synect data-management and collaborative software suite offers Variant Management for handling variants. Other modules planned for 2013 include signal and parameter management, as well as model management.
