Generators inject noise for VCC and GND testing

Staff - January 27, 2013

Noisecom’s JV9000 series of programmable and adjustable noise generators injects wideband noise and deterministic jitter signals into VCC lines for testing components that need to be qualified for immunity to VCC and GND noise interference. Offered in both manual and computerized versions, the instruments are particularly useful for analyzing device PSRR (power supply rejection ratio).

The JV9000 delivers noise from 500 Hz to 2 GHz at levels from 0.01 mV to 224 mV RMS into 50 Ω. Output power is 0 dBm. When outfitted with an optional CW generator, the JV9000 can simulate deterministic-jitter interferers within a signal frequency range of 1 kHz to 0.5 GHz (in steps). Customized input and output channels, as well as spur ranges and levels, are available on request.
