How to Submit a Press Release
We welcome the submission of press releases for our magazine as well as for TMWorld.com and our e-mail newsletters.
Besides products and technologies and company news, we're interested in anything that affects our readers and their ability to do their jobs. We accept press releases about new and draft standards, application notes, seminars and short courses, trade shows, and conferences. We review books, videotapes, and software products, too.

Where to send your press releases
Be sure to e-mail your news and product releases to:

In general, the more information you send, the better. It's easier for our editors to sort out information they cannot use than to call you for missing information.
When you e-mail us a press release, please include the following:
A Subject Line that describes the announcement (for example: "Press Release about the Model XYZ spectrum analyzer" or "Companies ABC and LMN announce merger"). Generic subject lines like "Press release" or "New Product Announcement" lessen your chances of having your message opened in a timely manner.
A description of the product or news announcement. The description can be in the body of the e-mail message or in an attachment. But the body of the e-mail message should provide at least a brief description of the product or news story; if the e-mail message does not describe the key features of your announcement, we will be reluctant to open any attachments.
Key specifications. Be as specific as you can. Phrases such as 'increased performance' or 'excellent noise margin' are meaningless. Instead, state that performance is 15 V/s or that the noise margin is –80 dB.
A complete data sheet, if available. We can often pick out key specs that you haven't included in your release. Application notes or other supporting information can be helpful, too.
Digital images. Please provide a link to your Web site where we can download the image, or else submit a high-resolution (300 dpi) file. (We can't use 75-dpi images in the printed magazine.) For the magazine, we prefer TIF or EPS files in CMYK format. For our newsletters, we prefer JPEG or GIF files.
Price and delivery information. Prices vary from country to country, so we will accept a price range; for example, 'Prices range from $4.50 to $10.' You also can quote a typical or base price: 'Prices are typically $1.23 per pin on the XYZ-456 connector.'
Reader and customer contact information. Please provide a Web address through which our readers can learn more about your products and can contact you.
Public relations contact information. Please provide the name, phone number, and e-mail address for your PR contact person. We need to know who we can call if we have questions about your press release.
Lead time before publication in print
T&MW has a lead-time of about six weeks before the date of an issue; for example, we select the products for our August issue by the middle of June. If your release states, 'Not for release before...,' we will honor your request as long as information does not appear elsewhere prior to that date.
Please note that space limitations prevent us from publishing more than a few product and news announcements in each issue of the magazine. We do, however, post numerous announcements on TMWorld.com and in our e-mail newsletters.
